THE REAL BILLIONAIRE BOYS CLUB

Pictured above is Joseph Gamsky (b.k.a. Joe Hunt) as he appeared in court in 1986. According to Wikipedia, he is the only man in California's history to represent himself in court and not receive the death penalty.

In 1983, Joe Hunt, along with his partner Dean Karny, formed the Billionaire Boys Club - a social club that promised young aristocrats immediate and lasting financial success (BBC Consolidated, Inc.). The organization, however, was actual a covered up Ponzi scheme intended to stack Hunt's wallet with more money. After one short year of business, however, the organization ran into financial trouble.

Hunt, along with Karny and two other club members, concocted a scheme that would garner money fast - and God knows their dying business/private social club needed it. Joe Hunt and is colleagues were to kidnap and harass Hedayat Eslaminia, an Iranian politician, and force him to surrender his assets.

What's even more twisted is that Eslaminia's own son was in on the kidnapping. Long story short, Eslaminia died during the kidnapping, and the members of the BBC were forced to murder other members and witnesses.

Although Hunt was not put on trial for Eslaminia's murder until much later, he was sentenced to life in prison for the murder of Ron Levin.

So... um.... yeah:
